Margaret Ann Gam, known affectionately by many as "Margie," was a woman whose name was synonymous with loyalty, generosity, and love. Born on September 2, 1940, in Boston, MA, Margie's vibrant spirit and witty charm effortlessly drew others to her, leaving an indelible imprint on all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. It is a testament to her remarkable character that so many of her relationships, both personal and professional, were not transient but enduring, filled with warmth and mutual respect.
Margie's heart was always in service to others, a trait that was reflected in her diligent work as a secretary and in the field of book-keeping. For many years, she served with the FDA until her retirement in 2003. Despite her commitment to her profession, Margie was a firm believer in the balance of work and play. She found immense joy in quilting, sewing and plants, hobbies that not only showcased her creativity but also served as a testament to her patience and dedication. Nothing mattered more to Margie than her family. She was a beacon of love and support, always ready to lend an ear or share a laugh. Her love story with her husband, Albert Gam, blossomed and they married on December 27, 1963 and remained unwavering, demonstrating loyalty, commitment to love and fun for more than 60 years.
Margie's resilient spirit, generous heart, and loving nature will continue to inspire those left to cherish her memory. She is preceeded in death by her son Billy Gam and grandson Timmy Kiernan. She is survived by her loving husband, Albert Gam, daughter, Sharon Kiernan (Jamie), grandchildren Candice Robinson (Maurice), Billy Gam, Jenny Turnbaugh (Phil), Amanda Kiernan, great grandchildren, Simone, Sophia, Ashlyn, Katlyn, Brenden, Austen, Cullen and four great great grandchildren, who will continue to honor her legacy. As we bid farewell to our beloved Margie, Mom, Nana, we are reminded that the light she shone in our lives remains undimmed, as a testament to a life well-lived.
We invite all those who knew Margie to share their memories, stories, and photos on her memorial page. It is a chance to honor her life, remember her vibrant spirit, and keep her memory alive in our hearts. Let us celebrate Margaret Ann's life, remembering not just her passing, but the love, laughter, and joy she brought into our lives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday April 27, 2024 in The Sun Chapel, viewing will be from 3 - 4pm, with service at 4pm with interment following the service in Spring Grove Memorial Park Cemetery Mineral, Virginia..
