Margaret C. "Peg" Gaughan

Margaret "Peg" Gaughan, 92, Frackville passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29th at Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East, Pottsville.

Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Flierl) Kneib. She worked as a telephone operator and administrator for Pennsylvania Bell Telephone.

Peg was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, the Elks Ladies Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens, all of Frackville.

Peg was an avid collector of Hummel Figurines, enjoyed traveling and musical theater.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James J. Gaughan and by her five siblings.

Peg is survived by her daughter Margaret "Meg" Gaughan and her partner Carol Lamson of Hartford, CT; her granddaughter, Maggie Gaughan-Lamson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to her wonderful neighbors and friends, who supported her over the years; Maryann and Jim, Angie and Joe, Tina, and Susan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 6th at 12 noon from St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 49 N. Line Street Frackville with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends are invited to her viewing at the church on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.
