Margaret Gilbert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home on Feb. 16, 2026.
Margaret Ann Gilbert, 86, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026.
She was born August 8th, 1939, raised in Kennett, Missouri, and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Edna Terry.
Margaret was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Gordon Franklin Gilbert Jr, and siblings, Mary Francis, Martha Jane, and Arthur Price.
She is survived by her children: Rhonda, Pamala, Chandra, Michael, and Catherine, her siblings: Mardella, Marie, and James, as well as an abundance of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Margaret was a force of nature, and she lived a rich and diverse life; she loved ballroom dancing yet could not manage to keep a beat. She loved camping with her children as much as hosting formal dinners for family and friends. Her house was always full of people, laughing and enjoying the energy she brought to the world. Margaret was an avid gardener and her home was always surrounded by the beauty of trees and bright flowers.
She will forever be cherished by her family and friends, and her memory will continue to grow in the retelling of her life story.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to A Tree to Remember (Link to be shared later), a cause that would have filled her heart with joy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11 AM at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas.
