Margaret Mary "Peg" Hebert

Margaret "Peg" M. Hebert, 89, of Westford, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA. She was the beloved wife of J. Richard Hebert, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage.
Margaret was a devoted parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford, MA. Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Mary (Higgins) Regan. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from Lowell State Teachers College in 1960 and later earned her master's degree in education from Northeastern University. Peg began her teaching career in Tyngsborough for two years before transitioning to the Westford Public School system for many years retiring in 2001.
Peg was active in her community and enjoyed a variety of social and recreational activities. She was a former member of the Alpine Square Dance Club, Mt. Pleasant Golf Club, Nashua Country Club, Nabnasset Country Club, and Longmeadow Golf Club. A passionate golfer, she won the Marion Fairfield Golf Tournament with an impressive score that she and her family would talk about frequently. She also loved playing bridge with the "girls" her longtime friends. She cherished spending time with her only granddaughter. She was so proud of her and would brag about her to anyone that made the mistake of asking "How's Ava?"
In addition to her husband, Peg is survived by her daughter, Meghan Hebert of Nashua, NH, her longtime partner, Jason Pomerleau, and her granddaughter Ava Pomerleau. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Regan and her sisters Maureen O'Neill and Dorothy Gaudet.
