Margaret J. Hollema

Margaret Jean (Decker) Hollema, 69, of Greensburg, formerly of New Jersey, died Saturday, May 24, 2025. She was born June 25, 1955 in Paterson, NJ, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Lillian (Van Splinter) Decker. Margaret was a teacher's aide and tutor for Trinity Christian School, Pittsburgh, and also had worked in Christian healthcare in New Jersey. She was a member of Pittsburgh Protestant Reformed Church, Forest Hills. Margaret is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, August C. Hollema; her family and grandchildren who she loved and adored, her daughter Diane Margaret (Dan) DeRooy and their children Christopher and Rachael and her son David August (Esther) Hollema and their children Alexander, Zachary, Madison, and Jakob; and a brother Dennis (Martha) Decker. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 30, at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St., Irwin, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to Pittsburgh Protestant Reformed Church, 716 Atlantic Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15221.
