Margaret Howse, age 88, of Lovelady passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 in The Woodlands. Margaret was born on January 27, 1937 in Tyler to loving parents William Asa Toliver and Tommie Mae Messer Toliver. From the very beginning, Margaret's life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for family-values that would define her throughout her years.
On February 6, 1954, Margaret married the love of her life, Roy Hoover Howse, Sr., and together they shared 71 beautiful years of marriage. Their love was a true example of devotion and partnership, a bond that inspired everyone blessed to know them.
Margaret was a woman whose greatest joy was her family. She loved her children, adored her grandchildren, and cherished every moment with her great-grandchildren. Her home was always filled with warmth, the smell of something wonderful baking, and the sound of laughter around her kitchen table. She found great joy in cooking and baking for family and friends, often teaching her grandchildren the same treasured recipes she grew up on and lovingly perfected through the years. Each dish carried with it the story of her life-one of love, care, and tradition.
Margaret also loved to travel and take road trips with Roy, visiting family and friends across the country. She and Roy loved taking all 4 grandkids on camping trips. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, no matter where she went. Her heart was boundless, her love deep, and her faith unshakable.
Margaret is survived by her beloved husband, Roy Howse, Sr,; her loving children, Roy Howse, Jr., Mike Howse, Paula Howse; her cherished grandchildren, Amber Ramirez and husband, Jose Ramirez, Melissa Morrow and husband, Chad Morrow, Brittany McDonald and husband, John McDonald; grandson, Michael; her adored great-grandchildren, Cameron Howse, Ethan and Sydnee Ramirez, Charleigh, Landon and Bentley Morrow, Quinn and Shane McDonald; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William Asa and Tommie M. Toliver, and her sisters, Dorothy Long and Bernice Blackburn.
Margaret's life was a living example of love that never wavered. Her warmth, generosity, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
Funeral services for Margaret Howse will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at the Creek Cemetery.
