MARGARET (PEGGY) KENNEDY
January 4, 1945 - December 16, 2025
Margaret (Peggy) Louise Kennedy was born on January 4, 1945, and died peacefully on December 16, 2025, surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Pauline Brocious; her stepfather, Roy Stone; her daughter, Kathy Wheat; and her brothers, Kenneth Brocious and Dale Stone.
She is survived by her children: Deborah Cowan; Jerry Wheat and his wife, Brenda; and Adam Valdez and his wife, Brandi.
She is also survived by her ten grandchildren: Phillip Romero; Andrew Romero and his wife, Leian; Jessica Manzanares and her husband, Izzy; Timothy Cowan; Joseph Wheat; Derek Wheat; Bailey Valdez; Bentley Valdez; James Wheat; and Zane Engel, as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Peggy grew up in Los Alamos and later lived in Santa Fe, Pojoaque, and most recently, Albuquerque.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Peggy had a deep love for animals. She loved going to the zoo, either by herself or with family, especially to visit the "big cats."
She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church, 1605 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe, New Mexico, on January 16, 2026, at 2:00PM.
