Margaret Ann King, 95, of Weston, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born in Weston, WV on October 17, 1929, daughter of the late Ervin "Mike" Jackson Turner and Ocie (Bailey) Turner. Margaret was united in marriage on January 30, 1969 to William P. King, Jr, who preceded her in death on July 3, 2016.
Cherishing the life of Margy are her sons, Michael P. Genevie of Abbeville, SC, and William "Bill" P. King, III and wife, Barbara of Weston, daughters, Martha J. Talbott and husband, Lee of Kingsport, TN and Elaine Ann Talbott of Buckhannon, WV, grandchildren, Margaret "Meg" Genevie, Jessica Lynn Gee, William Shawn King, Hannah Elizabeth Snyder, Morgan Leigh Talbott, Hillary Anne LaRosa, Michael Eller, and Justin Eller, and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, William, Margy was preceded in death by a brother, James E. Turner.
Margy was a graduate of Weston High School. She had retired from Hope Gas after a long career working as a secretary. Margy was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Weston, Charter Member of the Weston Moose Lodge #1376, and the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed golfing at the Deerfield Country Club in Weston and traveling.
Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston for visitation on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow services at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV. Online condolences and life stories in memory of Margy may be expressed at hardmanfamilyfuneralhome.com.
