Margaret C. Lindsay

TOWN OF NEWPORT - Margaret Catherine Lindsay, 71, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday morning.
Margaret was born on March 13, 1951, a daughter of the late Agnes and Dean Moody. She was raised in Middleville and graduated in 1969 from West Canada Valley Central School. Margaret has two brothers, Edward Vogt (Candy) and Michael Moody (Nicole).
Through the years, Margaret held jobs while raising her family and caring for her animals. She leaves behind a daughter, Ann Lindsay (Ludwik), and her sons, Richard Lindsay (Miriam) and Joshua Lindsay (Monique). She will be missed dearly by her granddaughters, Alison Gray (Larry) and Jessica Lindsay (Brandon), as well as her grandsons, Zachary, Jacob, Matthew and Little Josh. Margaret had four great-grandchildren, Bella and Chad Gilbert, and Noah and Elijah Ward. She is survived by many other family and friends. Awaiting her in heaven are her parents, aunts, uncles and many dear friends, and a granddaughter Amelia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John's Church, Newport on Wednesday, March 15, at 10:00 AM with Father Thomas Babiuch, Pastor officiating. There will be no public calling hours. Spring inurnment will take place in St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport.
