Margaret McIntee Obituary

Margaret “Peg” A. McIntee, 86, of Fowler, passed away peacefully at her home on September 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born on September 17, 1939, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph E. and Mary P. Howley Conroy.

Margaret graduated from East High School in Youngstown, Ohio, in 1958. She married Thomas J. McIntee on July 16, 1960, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love and devotion.

Margaret dedicated her life to being a wife and mother to her four daughters. As a homemaker, she created a warm and welcoming home for her family. She had a passion for sports and was known as an avid bowler and football fan. Margaret was always present to support her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at swim meets, baseball, basketball, and soccer games, as well as at school plays, show choir performances, and band concerts. She enjoyed watching crime shows, shopping with her daughters and grandchildren, and gathering with her bowling friends for lunch.

Margaret became famous among family and friends for her spaghetti and meatball dinners at family gatherings. She always looked forward to hosting the beloved family “Thankmas” dinner, which became a cherished tradition. Her warmth, generosity, and sense of humor touched everyone she met, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Margaret is survived by her beloved daughters: Patricia (David) Clouse of Fowler, Debra (John) Bryant of Rensselaer, and Marymargaret (Rob) Bailey. She is also survived by her brother, Michael (Sue) Conroy of Hubbard, OH; her sister-in-law, Rosemary Giannini of Austintown, OH; nine grandchildren: Samantha Smith, Matthew Clouse, Marina Bryant, Miranda Clemans, JT Bryant, Charles McIntee Bissey, Katie Allison, Kc Griffith, and Lindsey Weaver; and four great-grandchildren: Logan and Lilly Smith, Parker and Cooper Spalla.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McIntee, her daughter Kathleen Bissey, her sister Joan Egely, her brother Joseph Conroy, and her great-granddaughter Annabelle Smith.

The family extends a special thank you to Angie Glotzbach and her staff at Glotzbach Pharmacy, IU Hospice, and the Davita Kidney care team for their compassionate care and support.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church from 11 am (ET) until the Funeral Mass at 1 pm (ET) with Fr. Robert Klemme officiating. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church, Sacred Heart School, or to the Fowler Theater.
