Tyler Lee McIntee of Maple Grove, Minnesota, peacefully passed away at home with his parents by his side on April 7, 2025. He was 36 years old.
Tyler grew up in Stillwater and Long Lake, Minnesota, before moving to Orange County, California, with his family in 2001. He attended special education classes until the age of 22, and then joined the Abilities Unlimited adult day program, where he met many wonderful people who remained lifelong friends. In 2017, Tyler returned to Minnesota with his parents, Brian and Lee, and his twin brother, Cameron. He lived at home while attending the Chrestomathy adult day program in Eden Prairie for nearly eight years, where he was beloved by both staff and clients. He especially enjoyed working at the PROP Shop consignment store, practicing his writing skills, and taking long walks. After returning to his home state, he loved being close to his brother Dustin, sister-in-law Tiffany, grandparents Whit and Gail McFarlin, and his extended family of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Tyler had a deep love for Thomas the Tank Engine, Sesame Street, Disney movies, and the Dr. Seuss book Go, Dog. Go! He adored all animals - especially his two cats, Thomas and Percy, who became part of the family in 2018. Tyler brought positive energy into every room he entered and would often say, "I am lucky day," a joyful expression of his gratitude and love for life. Tyler is preceded in death by his grandfather Ed McIntee. He is survived by his parents Brian and Lee, brothers Cameron and Dustin, sister-in-law Tiffany, grandparents Whit and Gail McFarlin, and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and Godparents.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Martin's by-the-Lake Episcopal Church, 2801 Westwood Rd., Minnetonka Beach, MN, with a reception to follow.
