Obituary published on Legacy.com by Summit Funeral & Cremation on Sep. 17, 2025.
Cody James DeLuce, age 29, passed away on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025 in his home.

Cody was born at St. John's Hospital, and is the son of John and Janie DeLuce. He was the owner of DeLuce Construction, LLC and was also employed at Kraus-Anderson as a Superintendent assigned at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport. Prior to that, Cody was employed by Zeman Construction as a Commercial Superintendent. He graduated from Dunwoody College of Technology, and also attended Winona State University, where he played rugby.

Cody greatly enjoyed playing football as a running back at Blaine High School, and remained close friends with many of his teammates. He was a member of the Minnesota National Guard from age 17 until 28, and he recently embarked on his journey to join the Green Beret, passing all of his preliminary field tests with flying colors. Faith was a large part of Cody's life, and he attended Eagle Brook Church with his family for the last twenty two years. Cody loved the outdoors, whether he was enjoying time with family in Chetek, Wisconsin or dirt biking, which he did from the age of 3 until the very end. Cody's love of those around him was seen in ways such as officiating his friend's weddings, helping pull people out of ditches in the Minnesota winters, generously giving of his building skills with friend's house and garage projects, and dropping everything to help friends in need. Cody was additionally a loving father to his son, Jasper. He will be remembered for how much he cared for the people in his life. He lit up any room he walked into and lived life to its maximum capacity, often accompanied by his many friends, and his best friend, Deion.

Cody is survived by his parents; John and Janie DeLuce, his son; Jasper, and soon to be daughter; Leona, his siblings; Colby DeLuce and Cara Quie (Stephan), his beloved grandmother; Bette Dupre, his aunts and uncles; Todd Dupre (Julie), Lonnie Dupre (Pascale), Kelly Dupre (Jeff), Bob DeLuce and his godson; Jaxon. Cody was preceded in death by his grandfathers; James Dupre and John DeLuce II, and his grandmothers; Kate Cartier and Carol DeLuce.

The funeral service will be held at Eagle Brook Church (Blaine Campus), located at 3603 95th Ave NE, Circle Pines, MN 55014, on Friday, October 3rd at 11:30am. The visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:30am. A reception will follow the funeral at General John W. Vessey Readiness Center, 4800 Hamline Ave N, Arden Hills 55126.
