Margaret Kolojejchick Palmer

On Tuesday morning, October 21, 2025, Margaret Kolojejchick Palmer, a lifelong resident of Swoyersville, passed into eternal rest at the well-attained age of 100. Living in her home for 75 years, the Lord granted her desire of passing in her sleep in the comfort of her home.

Her first husband was the late Leonard G. Kolojejchick, who passed away on July 05, 1977, after 28 years of marriage. Later, she married her second husband, the late Walter F. (Plominski) Palmer, who passed away on August 05, 2012, after 16 years of marriage.

Born on April 05, 1925, in Swoyersville, Margaret was one of ten children born to the late Paul Luzetsky and Mary Charnitsky Luzetsky.

Marge loved to learn and the years she spent attending Swoyersville Schools were special to her – however, when her parents called her to help with the family farming business and store in Swoyersville, she sacrificed completing her education for her family. Following her marriage to Leonard, she devoted her life to being a loving homemaker and she was most proud of raising her ten children and instilling in them the values of faith, family, and unconditional love.

Faith was the cornerstone of Marge's life and for decades she was a devout member of the former Saint Mary of Czestochowa Church, Swoyersville, later Holy Name-Saint Mary's Parish Community, holding membership with its Confraternity of Christian Mothers, Sacred Heart Society, and Social Concerns Committee, as well as serving as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. Following the consolidation of her church, she continued her faith journey at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville, where she was an active member of its Confraternity of Christian Mothers.

Having countless enjoyments throughout her beautiful life, it can be said that her family and strong faith brought her the most joy. Her proudest roles in life were mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (G.G.) and the love she showered upon her loved ones will be her lasting legacy. Her family will cherish the memories of her cooking and baking, tending to and reaping the harvest of her annual vegetable garden, and the joy she received while singing with the Polish American Singers.

Living her life in service to others, Marge's acts of kindness and her special way of making everyone feel loved and appreciated touched countless lives in a personal way! Spunky and full of pep, Marge possessed a magnetic personality that drew people to her – her smile, gentle disposition, and unbounding faith brought joy in times of happiness, comfort in times of worry and sorrow, and reassurance in times of doubt – she truly was a beautiful person.

In addition to her parents, Paul and Mary Luzetsky, her first husband, Leonard Kolojejchick, and her second husband, Walter F. (Plominski) Palmer, Marge was preceded in death by her daughters, infant Margaret Kolojejchick and Teresa 'Terry' Jankoviak; her great-grandson, Hugo Hill Kolojejchick Kotch; her grandson-in-law, Chad Bortzfield; her brothers, Reverend Father Stephen Luzetsky, John Luzetsky, Anthony Luzetsky, Charles Luzetsky, and Peter Luzetsky; her sisters, Anne Malenky, Mary Krostag, Helen Bovino, and Katherine Andrasko; and her step-sons, Frank Plominski and Reverend Father Walter Plominski.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Marianne Matysczak (Leonard), Wyoming; Kathryn Gaydos (Joseph), Exeter; Jean Brozena (Joseph), San Antonio, Texas; Leonard Kolojejchick (JoAnn), Gibbsboro, New Jersey; Karen Kolojejchick-Kotch (George Kotch), Woodland, California; Donna Joyce (Paul), Huntsville, Alabama; Mark Kolojejchick (Alyson), Trucksville; and Christopher Kolojejchick (Brenda), Plains Township; her son-in-law, Robert Jankoviak, Swoyersville; her step-daughter, Bernadette Plominski Orr (Dale), Long Beach, Washington; her step-daughter-in-law, Patricia Plominski, Pittston; her 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson; her 4 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren; as well as generations of nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

During Marge's time of need, she was cared for by her loving children along with the support of her caregivers, Melanie, Mary Jo, and Jody, as well as the care team from Hospice of the Sacred Heart; and spiritually guided by her Pastor, Father John J. Chmil, and dear friend, Patricia Quinn – to all who assisted Marge and her family, your care and kindness will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Marge's viewings and funeral service. The first viewing will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort. The second viewing will be held on All Saints Day, Saturday, November 01, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, where the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM by the Confraternity of Christian Mothers of the parish followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.

Private Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Saint Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.

As Marge leaves this life and continues on to her eternal reward she leaves each and every one of her loved ones with these beautiful words she wrote: "My dearest children, God has blessed me in abundance to have all of you. Love one another as God has loved us. You each have a special talent – thank God ALWAYS for loving you."
