Margaret "Elise" Preite passed suddenly, in the loving arms of her family on Friday, July 18th, 2025, at the young age of 64. Born in Abington, Pennsylvania, the only child of the late Rocco and Margaret Preite. Elise lived her full life as a resident of Hatboro, Pennsylvania. She shared 42 years of marriage with the heart of her world, the late John Preite.
Devoted mother of Jaison (Myrian) and Nicolas (Sloane). Devoted grandmother of Bella, Vincenzo, Ariana, Riley, and Colin.
Elise was a force. Her heart was shared in many places, most importantly with her family and friends. She shared a love that is tough to compete with. Highlighting that is her undying love and compassion for her husband, who passed in January of 2022. She spent every day speaking about good times they had, the love they shared together, as well as the love they shared with their children and grandchildren. Not one day passed without Elise sharing her love for John. Elise and John were a team. It wouldn't be right to hear one name without the other. As what they had together, it can not be duplicated.
Elise shared her love for her five grandchildren with the entire world. To the kids she was known as "Ema". She loved watching them play and go on adventures. Everyone knew her grandchildren because of her daily posts to social media sharing these good times.
Elise was well known as one of the biggest forces in the animal rescue world as well. From showing up at 3 am. spending hours locating a lost fur friend to cancelling plans so she could hopefully reunite someone with their pet. When everyone else went home, she was still out there making calls and trudging through rivers, creeks, and wooded areas, hoping to find the lost pet she was looking for. Even when all hope seemed lost, Elise never gave up. That's who she was, through and through.
Elise worked closely with our local police departments in Abington, Upper Moreland, and Hatboro, to name a few. Training and tracking lost animals. The families Elise touched with her passion for making a difference, and the friends she make along the way cannot be measured.
Elise enjoyed endeavors. Wherever she could journey is where you would find her. Filling spaces with love and absolute truth. She would always tell you "how it is" and not "what you want to hear". She wanted everyone to be the absolute best they could be. She spoke that into fruition every day. Not once did she give up on an animal, a pet, or anyone for that matter. She was a force for all of us.
Elise will always be remembered for placing everyone's needs above her own. The best grandmother the grandchildren could ever have. The best mother a son could have. The best friend a friend could have. The best caregiver and companion a pet could have. The best soul mate a husband could have.
Elise may have left our world too soon, but she has left us with hearts overfilled with love and wonderful memories.

Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Friday, July 25th after 10:00 am in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040 and are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 12:00 pm Noon. Her interment will be private.
