Margaret Ann Raby, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday November 12, 2025, in Burgaw, NC, just one day shy of her 90th birthday. Born on November 13, 1935, in Broadway, NC, she lived a life full of love, dedication, and creativity.

Margaret devoted her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and nurturing environment for those she cherished. Her hands were never idle; they lovingly crafted Long Leaf Pine Baskets, a treasured hobby that brought her immense joy and connected her to the natural beauty of North Carolina.

A longtime member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, Margaret's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was actively involved in the church community until her health made attendance difficult. Her resilience and spirit continued to inspire those who knew her.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas McNeill and Mary Gertrude McLeod McNeill. She is survived by her daughter Constantina Sears, son David Raby and his wife Lynn, her two dear sisters, Delma and Doris, and two cherished grandchildren. Her family and friends will remember her as a kind-hearted and gentle soul whose legacy of love and artistry will endure.

In honor of Margaret's wishes, her cremains will be placed in a niche at Oleander Memorial Gardens. Her family invites those who knew and loved her to remember the joy she brought into their lives and celebrate the remarkable 89 years she graced this world with her presence.
