Margaret Ann Schutter, a longtime resident of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026. She was born on January 8, 1940, in New York to the late Joseph and Grace (Scardino).

On September 8, 1960, Margret married the love of her life, Walter Joseph Schutter, in New York. Their marriage was one of devotion and partnership until Walter's passing on April 15, 2018. Together, they built a life rooted in family, love, and shared memories.

Margret was a proud and loving mother to her son, Christopher Schutter of Northville, Michigan. She was also a cherished grandmother to Zoe and Thomas and a devoted great-grandmother to Daniel, Dereck, Alexandra, Ella, and Rylie all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home (8459 Hall Road, Utica, Michigan 48317) , with a service taking place at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan, where Margret will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband.

Margret will be remembered for her quiet strength, her deep love for family, and the legacy of care and devotion she leaves behind.
