Margaret Sellars, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away

peacefully on September 26, 2025, at the age of 91. The daughter of Lee and Mandy Sellars born on March 3, 1934 in Burlington North Carolina. Margaret's warm smile and

friendly nature touched the hearts of everyone she met throughout her fulfilling life.

Margaret spent her early years in Burlington, where she cultivated a love for cooking that would become one of her most cherished talents.

Her culinary skills were not just a hobby but a means of bringing people together, creating moments of joy and connection around the

dinner table. It was in these moments that Margaret's loving and kind spirit shined brightest, leaving a lasting impression on friends and family alike.

In her later years, Margaret relocated to Brooklyn, New York, were she continued to nurture her family and friends with her delightful dishes and unwavering support. Brooklyn became the backdrop for many of her life's most memorable chapters, and it was here that she peacefully passed away.

Margaret's legacy is carried on by her four devoted children, George Sellars of Maryland, Gerald Sellars of Texas , Melissa Sellars and Le - Fleur Sellars, both of New York.

Eight grandchildren, Five great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. Each of her children reflect Margaret's generous nature, her passion for life,

and her ability to make every person feel valued and loved. They, along with the rest of her family and friends, will forever cherish the memories and lessons she imparted. She is now reunited with her beloved husband James Cole who passed on before her.

Margaret's life was a testament to the power of kindness. She approached every encounter with a friendly demeanor and a heart ready to give. Her presence was a comforting constant in the lives of those she touched. And her influence will continue to be felt for generations to come.

As we say goodbye to Margaret, we celebrate a life lived with an abundance of love and kindness. Her memory will be treasured. Along with her memorable recipes recreated with fondness and a smile. Especially by her daughter Melissa who loved to cook with her. Margaret's spirit will forever be a guiding light for her family. A special message from Winter Marquez, her brown baby.
