Funeral services for Margaret H. Thomas will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Whitehall Cemetery in Haynesville, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Rose Neath Funeral Home.

Margaret was born June 2, 1944, in Shreveport, Louisiana and left this world September 8, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Juanita Hernandez, sister, Mary Darnell, brother, Andrew Hernandez II, and special niece, Melanie Johnson-Aiken.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Thomas of Leton, son Jason Thomas of Leton daughter, Lisa Nelson of Leton and special daughter, Renne Thomas, sisters, Ginny Hernandez of Frierson, Gertrude Johnson of Frierson, and Peggy Allen and husband David of San Francisco, grandsons, Holton and Easton, granddaughters, Brittnee, Lauren, and Erin, and multiple great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Hernandez, Stephen Hernandez, Michael Hernandez, Thomas Bumgardner, Ben Thomas, and Randy Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Thomas, Robert Slack, Gerald Thomas and Daniel Thomas.

The family extends special thanks to all the nurses and doctors on the 5th floor of Willis Knighton Greenwood, Dr. Zaunbrecher, Dr. Cavanah, Dr. McCarthy, and paramedic Logan.
