Margaret Torborg

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Richmond, MN for Margaret Torborg, age 100, who died Thursday at her home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The service will be live streamed at www.christcatholic.com. There will be a visitation from 9:00-11:15 a.m. in the church gathering space on Tuesday. Margaret was born in St. Nicholas, MN to John "Ben" and Mary (Dockendorf) Stommes. She married Edwin Torborg June 16, 1947, in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, St. Nicholas, MN. Margaret was a farmer, CCD Teacher, marriage counselor and school volunteer. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, playing cards and singing in the choir. Margaret was a member of the Christian Women, Sts. Peter and Paul Choir, and Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Rose, Jim (Joyce), Paul, Mary (Rick) Winter, Helen (Russ) Prill, Susan Trautmiller; siblings, Jerome (Mary Helen) Stommes, John Stommes; in-laws, Leora Stommes; Bob (Shirley) Torborg, Del Torborg; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; siblings, Aloys Stommes, Marie Kuechle, Alfred Stommes, Ervin Stommes, Elmer Stommes, Roman Stommes, and Eugene Stommes.
