Margaret VanDenburgh, born on April 15, 1941, In Joliet, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Simi Valley, California on October 18, 2025, following a stroke on October 4. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness touched everyone she met.

Marge's kind, caring, loving and compassionate nature defined her life. She possessed a warmth that drew others to her, and her beautiful smile had the power to brighten any room. She was patient, a great listener and always there for her children, offering guidance and support whenever they needed it.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Marge spent every holiday and birthday surrounded by her kids and grandkids.  Family gatherings brought her great happiness, creating lasting memories that will live on in the hearts of her family. Her leisure time was often spent engaging in her favorite hobbies, which included playing bunco and pokeno, as well as participating in events at Friendly Village where she lived until 2022.

She is now reunited with her late husband, Larry VanDenburgh, and her beloved parents, John Ambrose Walsh and Mildred Agnes McNamee. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Walsh and Thomas Walsh, who together with her parents welcomed her with open arms into eternal peace.

Marge's legacy will live on through her cherished family: her sons, John Getty and his partner Stacy, along with their children, Michael, Kylie, and Amanda; Rob Getty and his partner Kathleen; Tom Getty and his wife Debbie and their son, Blake; her daughter, Paula Getty-Stevens, and her husband Don; and her daughter, Suzy Wright, and her husband Jeff. Each member of her family carries with them the values she instilled, the love she shared, and the memories they created together.

Marge will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her. As we reflect on her life, we celebrate the joy and love she brought into this world, reminding us all of the importance of kindness, compassion, and the love of family.
