Margarita M. Jarin passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024, in her home after years of battling with cancer. She was 82 years old and is survived by her eldest son Jherommie, daughter Jackqueline, youngest son Joseph, son-in-law Jordan, her two grandchildren Tailyn and Tyler, as well as her extended family here in California, the east coast, Florida and Puerto Rico.
Margarita was originally from Puerto Rico whereas a young woman she worked as a secretary. When she married, she became a dedicated Navy wife and homemaker, a loving mother of three kids, and eventually after about 20 years retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Margarita was a strong independent no-nonsense kind of woman with a heart of gold. She always enjoyed praying the rosary and loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids. Towards the end of her life, she spent her leisure time doing crosswords, word searches, piecing together puzzles, coloring books, and watching Spanish TV like the dating show Enamorandonos. But she especially had a passion for watching her "telenovelas". And finally, what was most important to her was connecting with her extended family over the phone.
Mom always said to not stress over the little things. She was a straightforward honest woman and would tell you like it was whether you liked it or not, but she always meant well. She wanted us to have fun, enjoy life.
We will always miss you, mom. Thank you for the sacrifices you made for us, the love you gave us, and the lessons that you taught us. We love you very much and may you rest in peace.
