Margie C. Bouge
June 26th, 1932 - January 14th, 2025
Preceded in death by husband Charles Bouge. Survived by son Tracy (Wendy) Bouge, Granddaughters Austi (Kadron) Fye, Dallas Bouge, Twin Sister Mary Gathwright, Niece Thresa Hester, Michael and Nicole Cunningham, other family and friends.
At the age of 92, Margie passed peacefully in her sleep. Since retiring from her earthly duties, she’s taken up a new position as Heaven’s Chief Cat Lady. She leaves behind an assortment of kitties that she cared for until the end, family & friends, an impressive earring collection, and a memory that we will cherish forever.
5 star “Margie” reviews from family & friends include:
Tracy, son: “Greatest lil mama . To have to put up with me as a kid.”
Austi, granddaughter: “Top tier grandma. Spoiled me rotten and was always up for a good time. 5/5 stars. Couldn’t ask for a better one! Will never forget ‘yorange’ hair and peanut butter bread. Pet the heaven cats for me.”
Dallas, granddaughter: “one of the funniest and most selfless people I've ever known. I couldn't have asked for a better grandma."
Thresa, niece: “Aunt Margie was a sweet, special, twin sister to Mary Gathright and was my matching wonderful other mother. They were not raised together, but they had a blast dressing alike and shocking people as "old twins"! They were a hoot!”
Lynne, (the old) daughter in law: “Margie was the best 2nd mom anyone could ask for. She taught me how to live without regret and to never apologize for being me. I love you Mama Margie and you have so much of my heart.”
We asked her not long ago what her favorite decade of her life was, she said “ALL OF IT. It was all wonderful”. That said, her family invites you to celebrate her life by going out for a good meal, doing A LOT of shopping, visiting with your friends, laughing as often as possible, and making time to befriend some furry critters and enjoying every moment.
Per Margie’s request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Stray to Spay: https://www.straytospay.org
