Ms. Margie E. Bough, 91, 0f Tovey, formerly of Taylorville, IL passed from this life on Friday, November 14, 2025, in Tovey, IL.
She was born in Taylorville, IL on August 16, 1934, the daughter of John Albert and Ethel (Fleming) Jackson. Margie married Leonard Cooper. She later married Frank James Bough, and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2012.
Margie once owned and operated Scrubbies in Langleyville where she had worked many years prior. She also worked in nursing. She enjoyed playing Bingo, scratch-offs, arranging her flowers in her yard, collecting things and especially the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and family.
Surviving are her grandchildren Keri Cooper, and Nathan (Tanya) Cooper, of Taylorville a step-daughter Pam Rosenberry, step-grandchildren, Heather Durbin, John Messendorf, Jason Bough, Zach Bough, great grandchildren Gavin Cooper, Dominick Cooper, 1 great-great and several step great-great grandchildren, along with a great many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, children Gary Cooper, Johnny Northwoods Cooper, stepchildren Ralph Bough and Sheila Messendorf, brother John Jackson and sisters Connie Crepin and Gert Jackson step-grandchild Katie McCarty.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, November 24, 2025, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville. Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is assisting with arrangements.
