Margie Fay (Price) Pearson passed away peacefully at her home on December 2, 2025 surrounded by her family. Up until the end Margie maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of her church, love of God, family and friends and expressed gratitude for her long full life.
Margie was raised in
Columbiana, Alabama living with her family of nine brothers and sisters. Margie had close relationships with her siblings and always knew she wanted to someday raise a family of her own. After moving to Georgia, she was introduced to Oliver Pearson. She knew she had met the person with whom she would build a family. Married in January of 1962. Margie and Oliver maintained a loving and supportive marriage of almost forty-four years up until Oliver's passing in 2006. Together they raised seven children.
Margie spent her early years raising her children and taking care of her home. At the same time, she served Christ her Lord as a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher and was the President of their Women's Ministry for a period. She loved a chance to cook, prepare and serve the meals to others through "hobo" meals as she held many fund raisers selling the dinners. She loved those opportunities to be with together with her church family whom she loved very much. Mother always loved a chance to give rather than receive.
She later joined the work force at Douglasville Dry Cleaners where she spent fifteen years as a counter clerk. Margie loved to shop and enjoyed eating out with her friends and family. She was a regular attendee at her Church and loved the Lord with all her heart. She didn't miss an opportunity to tell people of her love of God and leading others to Christ. Later in life she attended Calvary Church of God serving her Lord. In her last months, she enjoyed her nephew Nathan recording the church services and bringing them by to watch with her and sing her favorite hymns.
She was well cared for by her daughter Donna and her sons who would come by and visit her. In her later years, she lived with her son John (Angie) and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with great amusement and plenty of chocolates and popcorn.
She is survived by her children: Paul S. Mandall and his wife Sandy, Michael P. Mandall and his wife Vanessa, Donna Shepherd and her husband Scott, Robert G. Mandall, Oliver J. Pearson Jr. and his wife Sandi, Benjamin J. Pearson and his wife Gina, John E. Pearson and his wife Angie; grandchildren: Josh Mandall, Justin Mandall, Derek Radar, Heather Cook, Shannon Dorrough, Michael Mandall, Jr. Nicole Mandall, Jacob Mandall, Brett Shepherd, Shane Shepherd, Christopher Mandall, Geren Pearson, Connor Prearson, Ava Pearson, Brianna Beverly, Miranda Outlaw, Marissa Brooks, Alix Spiess; nineteen great-grandchildren
