Margie Ellen Prebul

Margie Ellen Kelley Prebul, 88, entered eternal rest on September 30, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on February 7, 1937, to M.L. Kelley and Inez Knox Kelley in Runnels County, Texas.

On April 12, 1997, Margie married John M. Prebul, with whom she shared many cherished years. She worked as a phone operator for the Corpus Christi Police Department, contributing her time and dedication to the community.

Margie will be remembered for her love of laughter and her graceful presence. She took pride in her appearance and carried herself with elegance throughout her life. A social spirit, she found joy in hosting dinner parties and gathering with friends. She especially treasured meeting regularly with her high school group for lunch. Living by the water brought Margie great happiness, and she enjoyed fishing and the peacefulness of coastal life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John M. Prebul; sister, Cora Ann Davis; numerous nephews, nieces and their extended family; and a host of friends whose lives were touched by her warmth and kindness.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Seaside Funeral Home. A chapel service officiated by The Rev. Georges Jallouf will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, in the Seaside Chapel. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
