The Obituary

Margie Sue Toomer (Hallett), born July 17, 1963, in Gowanda, NY, transitioned to her eternal home on July 13, 2025, at the age of 61.
Margie made her home in Lee and Harnett counties, North Carolina, where she built a life full of laughter, love, and care for others.

Margie spent many years working as a CNA, dedicating herself to caring for others with compassion and kindness. Earlier in life, she was a hairdresser, where she loved helping people feel confident and beautiful.

Margie loved the Lord with all her heart, and her faith was a blessing to all of us. She found her greatest joy in time spent with family and loved ones. Margie will be remembered for her quick wit, her bold and unapologetic personality, and most of all, her caring heart.

She is preceded in death by her father, Claude Hallett; mother, Wilma Hallett; brother, Greg Hallett; sister, Penny Hallett; and her beloved son, Damon Wilson.

She leaves behind two daughters, Nichole Wilson and Latoya Toomer, a granddaughter Nina Willingham, and a grandson, Tyler Willingham. She also leaves behind her cherished sister, Claudia Cleveland, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose lives were brightened by her presence.
