Margie Ann Watkins

Margie Ann Pritchett Watkins was born on January 1, 1947 in Alamance County to William, Howard Pritchett and Annie Summers Pritchett. She was a lifelong resident of Alamance County being educated in the local school systems. Margie was a devoted and dedicated employee of Burlington industries Inc. for many years as a Cost Accountant.
Margie was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She professed Hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Springdale African Methodist Episcopal Church in Burlington, North Carolina. During her membership at Springdale, AME, Margie held several positions. Some of the roles that she faithfully devoted her time and talents to were, being a proud member of the Springdale AME Gospel Choir, former member of the Springdale AME Board of Stewards, Missionaries Society of Springdale AME Church, New Members Class Teacher, Sunday School Teacher and a Western North Carolina Conference (WNCC) member, and she held the position of Second Vice President of this organization. She was a servant at heart.
Suddenly without warning, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend exchanged time for eternity on April 26, 2025. While our hearts were broken, we cherish the memories and love that our loved one shared with us all. Cherishing her life and celebrating her legacy of love and devotion are her three surviving children: Ken Pritchett, Brice G. Watkins, Jr. (Stepheni) and Ronda Watkins-Smith (Corey); two grandchildren: Kamron Pritchett and MiRonda Swepson; her last surviving sister Barbara P. Slade (Curtis); three bonus grandchildren: Tyree Smith, Farrah Smith and Parrish Shaw; sister-in-law: Norma Pritchett; brother-in-law: David Parker as well as a host of nieces and nephews additional relatives and friends.
In her transition she now joins her loving parents William Howard & Annie Summers Pritchett; her caring husband Brice Watkins, Sr., a doting son Edward Watkins and two siblings James Howard "Bud" Pritchett and Thelma P. Parker.
