Margo Ann (nee Kanies) Benkert passed away peacefully on November 15th, 2025. She was 92 years old.

Margo was born on June 14th, 1933, to Ray and Isabel (nee Carpenter) Kanies. Margo is survived by her four children: Julie (Roy) Stuckemeyer, Dr. Mary Benkert, Karen (Phil) Glass and Tom (Jean nee Carlson) Benkert. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Margo is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lois Stiles, and other members of the Kirchenberg and Benkert families.

Margo was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Ed and Irma Benkert, her brother John Kanies and sister-in-law Betty Kanies, and her great-granddaughter Hannah Glass. She was also preceded by her two husbands, Donald Benkert and Ronald Kirchenberg.

Margo had a good long life as a home maker, wife and mother. She was a life-long member of Hales Corners Lutheran Church. She had many hobbies such as knitting, doing counted cross-stitch, playing cards and reading. She was very interested in professional sports.

Her life centered on Packers, Brewers and Bucks games, and also loved watching golf on television. Margo also played golf and was in a women's league at Whitnall Park Golf Course and volunteered as the club's secretary. She traveled extensively with both of her husbands.

Visitation will be held from 9 am to 11 am, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 am at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Rd, Hales Corners, WI.
