Margrette Smith Feudo was born in Hunt Co, Texas on Nov 3, 1934. Leaving for her heavenly home on December 13, 2025, she was the last surviving & youngest daughter of Lewis M. and Vada Wisdom Smith.
She would tell you she was " just a farm girl" & she was. Farm girls are dedicated, positive, resourceful, brave, realistic, committed early risers, compassionate, resilient, and feed their families well with love, food, and kindness. They treat their neighbors as family. Raised in the great depression, Margrette learned that happiness doesn't come from material things. She knew it came from love and that there is no greater calling than to give it and no greater feeling than to receive it. This was the embodiment of Margrette.
She used all these same traits to raise the family she created with her husband, Ronald Feudo. Ron and Margrette were married for 54 years. They made their home in Corpus Christi where she was the silent support in the family business, Feudo Foods. Together, they raised 4 children in a home where love was always served, along with three meals a day at the family table. Margrette was a dedicated wife, loving mother, present grandma, loyal friend, devoted sister and kind neighbor.
"Greta" was the baby sister of Rayburn, Helen, George, Dorothy, Mary, twins Billy & Lyn, Bobby, twins Sue & Mae, and a big sister to her brother Gary, which all preceded her in death. Her children trust that greeting her in heaven, was Jesus, husband Ron, oldest daughter Susan Denise and a heavenly choir she will join.
She leaves behind her children Carol Feudo Jansen (Larry), Patti Ann Speed, and Joseph Michael Feudo (Teresa). Grandchildren Haley Speed (Joe Anastastio), RJ Feudo, Zachery Jansen (Jessi O'Daniel), Curtis Speed, Emily Jansen, Amy Feudo, Clayton Speed & Olivia Speed. Her great granddaughters, Gemma & Tiffany Speed were one of her greatest treasures.
A visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on December 20, 2025 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service to follow 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Margrette by helping feed those in need through Coastal Bend Food Bank.
