Marguerite M. Bruneault

WOONSOCKET - Marguerite Bruneault, 91, passed away on October 15, 2023. Marguerite was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket, RI. She was born on March 5, 1932, and was the daughter of Jean B. and Berthe (Morisseau) Lavimodiere. She was predeceased by brothers Henry, Rene, and Arthur Lavimodiere.

Marguerite married the late Raymond A. Bruneault on June 27, 1953. They shared many happy years and are survived by their son, Raymond P. Bruneault of Woonsocket. Marguerite worked for the former W.T. Grant Co. for 25 years and was last employed by Mark Steven/CVS before retiring in 1991. She loved animals, especially cats, and the backyard birds she fed faithfully. She volunteered at the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary for over 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, day trips to Foxwoods, and spending time with her family.

She will be lovingly missed by her son Raymond who cared for Marguerite in her home in her later years, providing company as well as her favorite coffee, muffins, and newspapers.

Marguerite leaves three granddaughters who were lucky to grow up next door and will miss her dearly: Lisa Parker (and her husband James), Lynn Miller (and her husband Stephen), and Lori Bruneault (and Steve Roy). She will also be missed by Michael Carson, who helped Lori care for Marguerite for the past several years. She affectionately called him her "Little Mikey". Her greatest joy came from her 5 great-granddaughters, Kylie, Mariah, Sophie, Ruby and Julianna, and her great-grandson Andy. They will all greatly miss their beloved Memere.

Her funeral will be held Monday, October 23 at 9:00 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours will be Sunday 1-3 pm.
