Mrs. Marguerite Anderson Crews of Clover, VA passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at her home. She was born in Halifax County on September 2, 1936, and was 87 years old. She was the daughter of the late Julian Wade Anderson and the late Susanna Owen Anderson. Marguerite was married 61 years to the late Nelson Lacy Crews. She was an active member of the Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church. She sang in the choir and was involved with the Rilee Circle. Throughout her years Mrs. Crews served as a bookkeeper for Home Appliance, worked as an associate of Rose's department store, and was a cafeteria employee at Halifax County Middle School. Mrs. Crews was also a member of Woodmen of the World. Marguerite loved living at the Chastain Home where she held a sorority-like bond with the ladies and staff. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.

Lucy Grace Crews, Margaret Layne Crews, & Ruthie Jane Crews

The family would like to extend a special thanks to The Chastain Home for Gentle Women, 1st Care at Home, and the Duke Cancer Center Staff
A funeral service will be held at Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dave Moreno and Rev. Aubrey Heath officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
