Marguerite "Margie" Everson (Holmes), born December 2, 1939, in Cloquet, MN, passed away on August 27, 2025 in Apple Valley, MN. Margie lived a life defined by love, creativity, and unwavering devotion. From her early days immersed in music and crafts to her lifelong commitment to family and faith. She was loving, caring, and quietly witty, with a subtle sense of humor that could light up a room. Margie's gentle spirit touched everyone she met.

Born to John and Elizabeth "Dolly" Holmes, Margie graduated from Cloquet High School in 1957. Her love of music, especially choir and piano, was a thread that ran through her life, evolving into a passion for crafts like painting, ceramics, and sewing. She married Dale on April 30, 1960, and together they built a home filled with laughter, Sunday dinners, and the comforting rhythm of tradition. Whether cheering on the Vikings, baking Christmas treats, creating Easter baskets, or traveling to her favorite places, Margie embraced life with quiet joy and a subtle, sparkling humor. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, each of whom she supported with boundless love and pride.

Margie's devotion to the Catholic Church was lifelong, most notably as a CCD teacher guiding her children in faith. She found joy in cooking and baking, especially during Christmas, when her kitchen became a haven of holiday magic and memory-making. Her career spanned roles at Josten's, Apple Valley Public Schools, and Northwest/Delta Airlines, where she retired in 2001. But her most cherished role was as a mother and grandmother-attending countless games, concerts, and events with tireless enthusiasm and love.

Margie loved to travel-from road trips and camping adventures to cruises through the Caribbean and Panama Canal. Her favorite destinations were Hawaii and Napa Valley, though her heart always returned to the family cabin in Alborn, MN, where many summers were spent surrounded by nature and loved ones.

Her love lives on in every Sunday dinner, every Christmas cookie, and every quiet moment of grace.

Margie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale Everson, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage rooted in faith, laughter, and unwavering partnership. She is survived by her children: Tim (Tracy), Terry (Sandy), Tom (Teri), Kristina (Joe) Newell; grandchildren: Emily, Erik (Taylor), T.J., Alicia (Lucas), Jon (Hannah), Joe (Brianna), Chloe, Derek, Natalie, and Jacob; great grandchildren: Hudson, Graham, Mila, Henrik, Isla, and Elizabeth with number seven on the way, each touched by her gentle encouragement and joyful presence.

"Her children rise up and call her blessed." - Proverbs 31:28
