Dean E. Busch, born October 31, 1943, in Wadena, Minnesota, passed away August 14, 2025, from complications associated with dementia, surrounded by family. Preceded in death by parents, Elmer V. Busch and Luella Busch, brothers, Gale Busch, Lyle Busch and sister Betty Vollmer. Survived by wife of 60 years, Trudi, Sons Tim (Lori) and Jay, grandson Erik Sorenson (Meighan) and great granddaughters Rilyn and Taytum, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dean graduated from Moorhead State University in June of 1964, and accepted a position at First Trust, St. Paul. Dean was the youngest individual ever made "Officer" at First Trust. In 1973 he was named assistant Manager and in 1975 he became the Manager of the St. Paul Trust Tax Department. In 1985 he was named manager of the combined Minneapolis and St. Paul Tax Departments when the two groups combined. He was recognized and respected in both Minneapolis and St, Paul for his trust tax acumen. Dean spent 32 years at First Trust and moved on to the Hamm Family Office in St, Paul, where he managed the Hamm Family tax matters.

Dean's passion in his free time involved coaching his sons in VAA Little League sports, baseball and basketball. Later, as the sons grew up, he became coach of the American Legion Baseball team which had many successful seasons. The family has had much fun in recent years discussing the "glory days" when baseball games have been rehashed. After the sons outgrew local athletics, the family enjoyed lake life at the cabin fishing, hunting and visiting with friends and family, especially when extended family came to visit. Such fun times were had. Dean also enjoyed his many travels to Mexico, Aruba, Saint Maarten, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and other sunny destinations with family or friends.

Dean will be remembered as a good man who would do anything for his family. He was a humble man who cared about others welfare and had a passion for politics and sports. He adored his "little girls" Great Grand Daughters, Rilyn and Taytum. They brought many hours of joy to his life.

Blessings to a man who made me feel ten feet tall my entire life! From the times you held me as a baby to the times you gave me quarters to play pinball as you worked at the resort on Rush lake to the conversations and cocktails on the deck at your lake home. You always treated me with such love, a love that lasted 73 years. I'm heart broken of coarse but so grateful that you were part of my life. When it comes to Uncles you are in the Hall of Fame! Please say hi to the rest of the family for me. I will always love you!!! Ronald your grateful Nephew
