Marguerite A. (Margie) Hassold
July 3, 1933 - January 3, 2026
Marguerite A. (Margie) Hassold peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the age of 92. She was born in San Antonio on July 3, 1933 to parents Susie E. Tezel and Samuel L. Ahr. Surviving family members are sons and daughter, Charles (Lisa), Melinda (Danny) Bryant, and Thomas (Lou Ellen); seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Her surviving siblings include brothers, Herman (Barbara), Homer (Carol), Marshal (Gail), and John; sisters, Katherine O'Hanlon, Sister Sylvia Ahr, and Frances (Robert) Sandera. Margie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 64 years, James E. (Jimmy) Hassold.

Margie was a life-long San Antonian; salutatorian graduate of Ursuline Academy; founding member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church; and loved her flowers, sewing, & needlework.


Visitation is Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 10 a.m. at the Fred J. Tips Mausoleum Chapel at Mission Burial Park North (20900 IH-10 West, San Antonio) with service following at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at the onsite cemetery.
