Marguerite Yarnell Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 9, 2025.
Marguerite Yarnell, 77, of Dunnellon, FL, passed away on September 22, 2025, surrounded by family. She was the loving wife of Anthony "Tony" Yarnell for almost 58 years and a nurturing mother, sister, and friend.

Born in Rhode Island, Marguerite was the third of seven children. She attended Saint Mary's School in Pawtucket and graduated from Sacred Heart High School before later earning an associate degree in Photography from North Georgia College. She worked for Bell South for 28 years, retiring in 2003, and served with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department as part of the Community Emergency Response Team.

In 1966, Marguerite met Tony at Jolly Charlie's in Massachusetts, and they were married two years later. While Tony served in Vietnam, their first child, Eric, was born in 1968. Their daughter, Jen, followed in 1972. Marguerite poured her heart into caring for her family and was known for her generosity, love, and protective spirit for her family. Her passions included raising and showing Saint Bernards for over 40 years under Point Judith Saint Bernards Kennel, traveling, collecting lighthouses, playing her musical instruments and painting using multiple mediums on canvas, and her lifelong love of the ocean-especially Narragansett, RI. In 2003, Marguerite was lucky enough to win a 1 of 1 gold corvette. Then, in 2005, she attended a road racing course taught by Johnny O'Connell and her passion for corvettes truly began. In addition to her husband Tony, she is survived by her son Eric (Heather) Yarnell of Gainesville, GA; daughter Jen Yarnell (Linda Kearney) of Ocala, FL; siblings Thomas Partridge (Patricia LaRose), Kathleen (John) Burke, Maureen (Robert) Marcoux, and Russell (Elaine) Partridge; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Elizabeth and Richard Partridge.

Marguerite will be deeply missed by Tony and her children and all those who knew her. She had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path. Her memory will live on in every heart she touched.
