Maria Anzaldua

Born on October 24, 1957, in Monterrey, Mexico, Maria C. Anzaldua passed away on October 21, 2025, in Victoria, Texas. She was born to the late Eduardo Rodriguez Guzman and Angelita Rodriguez.
Maria is survived by her daughters, Andrea (Albert) Manciaz of Lake Jackson, Rosa (Jaime) of Angleton, Alma Anzaldua of Clute, Tx and Asalia (Roger) Cantu of Angleton; and her sons, Ismael (Sandra) Anzaldua of Porter, Edgar (Jennifer) Anzaldua of Pearland, Julio (Veronica) Anzaldua of Victoria, and Andres Anzaldua (Starlet Arredondo) of Victoria, Texas. She is also survived by her brother, Juan Rodriguez of Mexico, 21 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ismael Gutierrez and her parents; her sister, Angelica Rodriguez; and her brothers, Hilario Rodriguez, Luis Rodriguez, and Jose Rodriguez.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 28, 2025 at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home in Victoria Tx beginning at 5pm until 8pm with a Holy Rosary to begin at 6pm. Visitation will resume at 9am on October 29, 2025 at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home with a Chapel service to begin at 10am. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Julio Anzaldua, Damion Anzaldua, Marcus Jimenez, Albert Manciaz, Angel Manciaz, Adrian Anzaldua, Andres Santana and Roger Cantu.
