Maria M. Botello

Maria Botello, a Corpus Christi native, gained her wings to heaven on March 30, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and resilience that will be cherished by all who knew her. She was a woman whose smile could light up the darkest of rooms, and her presence was a source of comfort to many.
Born into a close-knit family, Maria was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Maria Moya; her caring sisters, Celia and Amelia; her brother, Jose; and her cherished granddaughter, Victoria. Her spirit is carried on by her six devoted children, Noemi T. Ramirez, Reynaldo Tijerina (Monica), Esperanza Roldan (Francisco), Bobbie Jo Botello, Robert Botello, and Steven Botello. Her love also lives on through her 16 grandchildren, Jose (Ana), Reynaldo, Alexandra, Miranda (James), Paloma (Manuel), Oriana, Rickardo, Gabrielle, Isaiah, Amiera, Aurelio, Gonzalo, Thiago, Ariana, Mya, and Aveya; and her six great-grandchildren, Bobbie Ray, Samson, Lilly Ana, Joe Ryan, and Aura, Morrison, who will all hold her memory dear.
Maria was the epitome of a matriarch, known for her tireless work ethic and her innate ability to care for and nurture those around her. She was always there to lend an ear or offer advice, and her daily phone calls were a testament to her unwavering commitment to her family and friends.
Maria's family will receive condolences on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave., from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM; with a Holy Rosary and Liturgy of the Word to begin at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude in the chapel that afternoon.
