Maria Salome Camara

Maria Camara, age 88, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on February 4, 2025. Maria was a loving Mother, Vavo (grandmother), and Bis Avo (great-grandmother).
Maria was Born on September 20, 1936, in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal. Maria came to the US in the 1960s and worked over 20 years in Dry Cleaning, in 1988 she opened her own Home Day Care after losing the love of her life Carlos. Maria retired at 65, living with her daughter Maria and enjoyed helping raise her grandson's and great-grandson.
Maria is Survived by her devoted Daughter Maria (Steve), son Carlos (Karine), grandchildren Daniel, Austin (Teresa), Vanessa (Ali), Briana, and her great-grandchildren Austin Jr, Zachariah and Zayn.
Viewing/Rosary will be held on Thursday, February 27th from 4:00pm - 8:00pm with the Rosary starting at 6:00pm at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery and Funeral Center, 1051 Harder Rd, Hayward CA 94542.
Viewing on Friday, February 28th from 9:00am - 11:00am with a Funeral Mass following at 11:00am at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery Mausoleum of the Apostles, burial immediately following.

Patient, kind and true;
No other friend in all the world,

For all her loving kindness,

Sweet Memories we recall,
