Rosaria (Pedro) Camara, 97, died peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. Born in Caveira on the island of Flores in the Azores, she was raised and educated in Caveria along with her 5 brothers and sisters. In 1949 she married Fransico C. Camara, and together they enjoyed over 56 years of marriage and raised their beloved daughter Maria. While living in Caveira, she was dedicated to her church, Nossa Senhora do Livramento and enjoyed volunteering and spending time at the church. After Francisco’s death in 2006, Rosaria moved to Stoughton to be closer to her family. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed knitting and crocheting but her most cherished times were spent surrounded by her daughter, son in law, granddaughters and their children.
Rosaria is survived by her daughter, Maria F. Almeida and her husband Angelo of Stoughton and her granddaughters, Judy Chaves and her husband Dennis of Raynham and Gina Bage and her husband Brandon of Burlington. She was the great-grandmother of Tony and Angela Chaves and Bennet Bage. Rosaria was predeceased by her siblings, Carminda Salvador, Maria Freitas, Flora Camara, Jose Pedro and Nestor Pedro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 9-11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosaria’s memory may be made to AccentCare Hospice, 1 Edgewater Dr., Norwood, MA 02062.
