Maria Luisa Ceniceros

Maria Luisa Ceniceros Diaz was born in Nuevo Ideal, Durango Mexico and grew up in Lincoln Nebraska from 1962 to 1977, then moved to Chicago where she raised her family. She passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025. She was the loving mother of Juan Carlos Ceniceros (Kendy Olaguez), Margarita Ceniceros (Roque Salgado), Martin Edgar Ceniceros and Fabian Ceniceros. Dearest grandmother of Damian Salgado. Loving sister of Ignacio Diaz and the late Gabriel, late Manuel, late Soledad, late Maria De La Luz and late Fidel Diaz. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Maria Luisa was an active parishioner of St. Rita Cascia Catholic Church for more than 15 years participating in various ministries at the local and city levels throughout the years. Maria Luisa worked for the Illinois Department of Human Services or 21 years. Her legacy of love, kindness and service to her church and community will continue to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege of knowing such an amazing woman. She will be deeply missed, always loved and forever remembered. Visitation is Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave.(55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home on Monday from 8:30 AM until time of Prayers at 9 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to St. Rita Cascia Church for a 10 AM mass. Maria will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery.
