Maria Perez Chavez

Maria Ester Perez Chavez, age 53, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 15, 2025, in Washington, NC. Born November 18, 1971, in Hidalgo, Mexico, she lived a life full of love, dedication, and kindness.

As a devoted homemaker, Maria dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing environment for her family. Her renowned kindness and incredible cooking were the heart of many family gatherings, bringing everyone together with love. She approached every task with unwavering love, and her greatest joy was found in the embrace of her family and friends.

Maria is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Domitila Lopez Gonzalez; her father, Onecimo Chavez Corona; and her cherished son, Casey Perez Chavez. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her surviving family members: her loving husband, Isabel Perez Lopez; her children, Kenneth Perez Chavez, Karen Perez Cabrera, and Katie Perez Chavez; and her treasured grandchildren, Kellan Casey Perez, Avianna Khaleesi Perez, and Santiago Cabrera.

Maria's legacy is reflected in the love and values she instilled in her family. She will be remembered for her generosity, selflessness, and strength. Her presence was a guiding light, and her spirit continues to inspire those who knew her.

A visitation will be held at Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 12:00 until 1:30pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1:30pm, with the burial at Pamlico Memorial Gardens directly afterward.

María Ester Pérez Chávez, de 53 años, falleció pacíficamente en su hogar, rodeada de su familia, el 15 de agosto de 2025 en Washington, Carolina del Norte. Nacida el 18 de noviembre de 1971 en Hidalgo, México, vivió una vida llena de amor, dedicación y bondad.

Como dedicada ama de casa, María dedicó su vida a crear un ambiente cálido y acogedor para su familia. Su reconocida amabilidad y su increíble cocina fueron el centro de muchas reuniones familiares, uniendo a todos con amor. Abordaba cada tarea con un amor inquebrantable, y su mayor alegría residía en el abrazo de su familia y amigos.

A María le precedieron en la muerte su querida madre, Domitila López González; su padre, Onecimo Chávez Corona; y su querido hijo, Casey Pérez Chávez. El velatorio se llevará a cabo en el funeral de Joseph B. Paul Jr. el martes 19 de agosto de 2025, de 12:00 a 13:30 h. A continuación, se realizará el funeral en la capilla a la 13:30 h, y el entierro en Pamlico Memorial Gardens inmediatamente después.
