She was born September 12, 1956, in Lafayette, IN, to the late John and Frances (Vess) FitzSimons.
Maria enjoying working at the Ben Hur for several years
She enjoyed playing Bingo and bowling.
Surviving are children, Billy (Julie) O'Connnor of West Lafayette, Bobbie June Navarre of Lafayette, Autum FitzSimons of Lafayette, Ashlee (Josh) Jones of Lafayette, her siblings, Ron FitzSimons of WA, Bunny Hardesty of Lafayette, Pat (Patty) FitzSimons of Lafayette, Mariann (Daniel) Weatherford of Attica and Pete FitzSimons of Lafayette. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Maria was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack FitzSimons, Jimer FitzSimons and Michael FitzSimons and a sister, Sis FitzSimons.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909
A private family burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Lafayette, IN.

I met Jake at bingo one night. While speaking with her for such a short time, I felt like I had known her forever. Jake, you are so missed. Rest in peace my friend .
