Maria Annette Fore

MARIA ANNETTE FORE, 65, of Charleston, was called home to be with the Lord, on January 9, 2026, surrounded by family.
Daughter of the late James and Bethlean Sprouse. Annette was also preceded in death by her sister Sonia Young. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, James Fore, her children, Amanda (Jason) Cavender and James (Kelsey) Fore, her sister, Eleanor Raynes; and her cherished grandchildren, Kinzlee Fore and Jameson Fore, who brought her immense joy and pride. She also leaves behind her lifelong friend Gerri Slack.
Annette was a retired dental assistant at Howard & Howard Dental, where she was known for her caring nature, but no job was more important to her than that of wife, mother and grandmother.
Anyone that met Annette knew a radiant and spirited person that loved life. She loved spending time at the beach, finding peace in the sound of the waves and warmth of the sun. At home, she was rarely far from her beloved cat, Charlie, who was a constant companion and source of comfort.
Though she will be missed by all who knew and loved her, we take solace knowing Annette is now with her father, mother and sister. Annette will be remembered for her loving heart, quiet strength, and deep devotion to her family.

A tribute to the life of Mrs. Maria Annette Fore will be 1 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2026, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Lanham officiating. Entombment will follow in Haven of Rest Memory Gardens, Red House. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
