With confidence in the promises of our Lord Jesus Christ, our dear Mother passed away peacefully in her sleep and into eternal life on August 23, 2025, at the age of 97. She was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Anne Catholic Church. She loved God, her family, and friends. She had a strong work ethic, working all her adult life and finally retiring after thirty-one years of service with the Social Security Administration. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and crocheting, the latter of which she did well into her nineties. She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Salcido and Anna and husband Julian Lujan, fourteen grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren, as well as brother-in-law Raymond Gallegos and wife Michelle and brother-in-law Fernando Sanchez and numerous nephews and nieces, all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andreita and Prudencio Luna, her husband Ignacio Gallegos, grandson David Salcido, son-in-law Tobias Salcido, her five brothers and two sisters and their spouses. She was the last remaining sibling, and she missed them all dearly. Pall bearers will be Julian Lujan, Gabriel Lujan, Jacob Lujan, Michael Lujan, Mario Salcido and Robert Salcido. Special thanks to the lovely ladies that brought her the Holy Eucharist on a weekly basis, as well as her nurse Galina and the staff at Presbyterian Hospice who have journeyed with her over the past three and a half years. May she rest in peace. A Visitastion will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 7:45 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:15 a.m. with a Mass at 9:00 a.m. all to be held at Saint Anne's Catholic Church located at 1400 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. A Burial will follow the services to San Jose de Armijo Cemetery located at 2957 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.
