Maria found joy in nature's beauty and loved tending to all kinds of flowers. A lifelong fan of Elvis, she was known for her love of sweet treats, especially desserts, that brought delight to her family gatherings. Family was at the center of her world; she was renowned for her exceptional Mexican rice and was a gifted storyteller, always sharing tales that entertained and brought joy.
An active member of the Red Hat Society, Maria embodied grace and elegance. She often embraced her playful side by allowing her grandkids to apply makeup on her, creating cherished memories that will be remembered fondly.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Erasmo Garza Senior, her son, Erasmo Garza Junior, and nine siblings. She is survived by her two sons, Noe and Leo Garza, and her legacy lives on through her eight grandchildren: Missy, Rene, Christoper, Joshua, Martha, Alethea, Brittany, and Emily, along with numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 PM, with a rosary at 7 PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. A chapel service will take place at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Committal service to follow at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.
Maria's warm spirit will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those she touched.
