Maria M. Gonzalez, a devoted caregiver and beloved member of her family, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, in her hometown of El Paso, Texas. Born on July 17, 1949, Maria lived a life rich with love and service, dedicated to nurturing generations of children who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
Maria's expansive family includes her cherished husband, Jaime Gonzalez, and her son, Robert Gonzalez, and his wife, Esmeralda. Also among her loving family are her son, Demetrio Gonzalez, and his wife, Jamie, as well as her daughter, Flor Providence, and her husband, Barry Providence. Maria was deeply proud of her granddaughter, Samantha Gonzalez, and her legacy extends to a remarkable 61 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of her incredible spirit.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alberto Beltran, and her mother, Marina H. Gonzalez. Maria was also sorrowfully reunited with her late children, Jaime, Tomas, Belen, and Cynthia Ann Aleman, as well as her brother, Francisco Madrid, all of whom she loved dearly.
A celebration of Maria's life is scheduled to take place on February 7, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Homes - Northeast. Friends and family are invited to join the visitation starting at 9:00 AM, followed by the celebration of her life at 9:30 AM. A burial service will follow at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
Maria's impact on the lives of those around her is immeasurable. She had a genuine passion for singing, which filled her home with joy and laughter, creating lasting memories with family and friends. Her compassion and dedication as a caregiver will be remembered fondly, as she has inspired many with her selflessness and unwavering love. She leaves behind an enduring legacy of kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her.
