It is with great sadness that we announce that Maria Hale passed away at the age of 71, on September 26, 2025, in Plainview, TX. Arrangements are under the care of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory of Plainview.

On June 13, 1954, in Winamac, Indiana, Maria Hale was born to Juan and Guadalupe Rosales, a radiant soul destined to touch countless lives with her strength, love, and unwavering faith. On September 26, 2025, Maria's earthly journey came to a serene close, and though our hearts ache with her absence, we find solace in knowing she now rests in the eternal embrace of her Savior, her suffering eased, her spirit soaring, reunited with her brothers Juan, Joe, and Fidel.

Maria's life was a tapestry woven with devotion, love, and an unyielding commitment to those she held dear. On December 28, 1985, in the quiet beauty of Arch, New Mexico, she joined hands and hearts with George Hale, building a life in Portales, where they raised their beloved children-Shawna, Jenae, and JJ. To her children, Maria was both the anchor and compass, a strict yet tender mother whose rules were rooted in a fierce desire to see them thrive. She was a steadfast presence, her watchful eye a testament to her protective love, ensuring her "kiddos" walked paths of virtue and promise.
A woman of profound faith, Maria found joy in sharing the Lord's word, her voice a guiding light in the Sunday school classrooms of Bethel Church. There, she poured her heart into teaching, nurturing young souls with the same care she bestowed upon her family. Her faith was her fortress, a source of strength that carried her through life's trials, often bearing her own pain in silence to shield those she loved from sorrow.
Maria's days were filled with purpose, from her dedicated service as a mail carrier in Portales to the quiet moments of love she shared with her family. Her strength was a melody, sometimes fierce, always compassionate, resonating in the lives of all who knew her. She was a woman who loved deeply, lived boldly, and endured quietly, her heart a haven for those fortunate enough to call her mother, wife, sister, and friend.
As we bid farewell to Maria, our hearts are both heavy and hopeful-heartbroken by the void left behind, yet grateful for the end of her suffering and the promise of her eternal peace. She has gone ahead, paving the way with her radiant spirit, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever bloom in the hearts of her children, Shawna, Jenae, and JJ; her husband, George; her siblings, Felix, Able, Lupita, Conchita, and Elva, along with all who were touched by her grace.
Rest in peace, Mom, until we meet again in the light of eternity.

Maria is preceded by her parents, Juan Rosales and Guadalupe Salazar, and her brothers, Joe Rosales, Fidel Rosales, and Juan Rosales.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, George A. Hale; her children, Shawna (Blake) Peterson of Rockwood, TN, Jenae (Dustin) Brewton of Roswell, NM, Jack M. ( Kim) Hale of Amarillo, TX; her sisters, Lupita Rosales, Elva Terrell, and Conchita Rosales; her brothers, Felix Rosales, and Able Rosales; her grandchildren, Coltin, J'Lynn, Cy, and Chase Brewton, Braxton and Kayson Hale.
