Bertha George Hale, 89, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in Buckeye Forest Nursing Care Facility, Jackson, Ohio. Bertha was born February 5, 1936, at Vinton, Ohio, daughter to the late Wellie and Birdie (May) George. She married her late husband of sixty-five years, Billy Hale, in June, 1955, and he preceded her in death November 3, 2017.

Bertha is survived by her nieces and nephews: Anthony (Tracy Salvito) George and Michael George, both of Obetz, Ohio; Angela (Mike) Grant, Amanda, Ohio; Steve (Molly) Greenlee and Cindy (Chris) Maynard, both of Bidwell, Ohio and Brian (Abbey) Hale, Vinton, Ohio; great nieces and nephews: Haylee and Christopher Grant as well as five great nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are sisters-in-law Shirley Greenlee and Betty Landers, both of Bidwell, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bertha was preceded in death by brother, Elmer Elwood George and sisters, Nellie Marie Conger and Edith Smith.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, September 26, 2025, in the Vinton Memorial Park Cemetery, SR 160, Vinton, Ohio with Pastor Isaac Shupe officiating. No visitation will be held. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, is honored to serve the Hale Family.
