LaCommare, Maria age 67 passed away surrounded by her family and friends on October 7, 2024. Devoted wife of Francesco. Loving mother of Carmela LaCommare (Judd TerBush) and Vincenzo LaCommare.
Dear daughter of the late Filippo and the late Leonarda LaCommare.
Cherished sister of 12: the late Nicolo LaCommare, the late Sarina (the late Riccardo) Angeli, the late Pietro (the late Rosetta) LaCommare, Joe (Josie) LaCommare, Giovanna (Pino) Bonaventura, the late Michele LaCommare, the late Salvatore LaCommare, Frank (Pina) LaCommare, the late Nick LaCommare, Pia (Vito) Croce, the late Michele LaCommare, Melina (Pino) Mangiapane.
She is also survived by her brothers-in-law Michele (Mariuccia), Peppe and sisters-in-law Monica and Mommina, Enza.
Preceded in death by nephews Sam Bonaventura and Phillip LaCommare, niece Christina LaCommare, great-nephews Giovanni Spica and Giuseppe Spica, and great-nieces Gabriella Spica and Audrina Croce.
Proud Zia of over 70 nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, whom she loved as if they were her own.
Maria enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, especially with her sisters, sisters-in-law and nieces during their annual cannoli making time and her outings with her friend Guilia. She took great joy in receiving her fresh fish from Jenny and she was an avid General Hospital fan, never missing an episode and loved her collection of Winnie the Pooh. She loved spoiling her youngest great-nieces and great-nephews, from giving them candy to toys to their own special nicknames. She was a proud godmother to her 4 nieces (Adele, Bridget, Lea and Rosann) and godson (Enzo). She also enjoyed spending time with her grand-furbabies Hank and Sheamus. Although, her most enjoyable times were spent spoiling her children and making sure that they never went without anything.
She will be missed by many and her legacy will live on through the lives that she touched.
Visitation Thursday October 17, 2024, 3-8pm with a 6pm Rosary service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile Rd). Funeral Friday October 18, 2024 instate 9:30am at San Francesco Catholic Church until the time of Mass at 10am. Interment to take place at Resurrection Cemetery Clinton Township, MI.
