Maria D. Monteiro of Dorchester, Massachusetts passed peacefully at home on November 17, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Brava, Cabo Verde to Pedro Lomba and Eugenia Baptista.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friends to many.
Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband Joao Monteiro. She leave her children Edir Centeio, Frank Monteiro, Maria Fonseca, Ligia Rodrigues, Emilia Monteiro, John Monteiro, Ida Groves, Luis Monteiro. Nelson Monteiro and Palmira Monteiro. She was blessed to have 38 grand children. She also leaves a host of great grand children, other relatives and friends to cherish her memories.
Visitation and funeral services with family will be on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 5-8 PM at Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, 806 Blue Hill Avenue, Dorchester, MA 02124.
Maria will be laid to eternal rest in her home country of Cabo Verde at a later date.
